Note: You might want to experiment with these instructions and add the noodles in the final 5 minutes of cooking your entire dish if you’re using an Instant Pot recipe that calls for them. You might not be able to add our noodles all at once because a full bag takes up a lot of room in the cooker when dry.

Nota: Our noodles can withstand moderate amounts of contact with heat and liquid. But if you let the noodles soak in boiling broth for 4 to 8 hours, they won’t turn out as well as they could.

I’ve discovered the best method for making Instant Pot egg noodles after cooking numerous batches of noodles.
Water to noodle ratio
Depending on the recipe, the amount of water used to cook Instant Pot noodles can change. For every 8 ounces of noodles, however, use 2 cups of water as a general rule.
This wont be enough water to completely cover the noodles. You don’t want too much water in the pot because that would defeat the purpose of using a pressure cooker for pasta, but that is okay.
A pressure cooker’s main function is to facilitate the absorption of the starchy, salty water used to cook the pasta. This enhances the flavor of the pasta and helps the sauce adhere to the noodles.

The length of time the pasta needs to rest can range from a few minutes to up to ten, depending on the type of noodle.

Pro Hint: As a general rule, to estimate the cooking time for pasta in an Instant Pot, multiply the stated cooking time by two and divide the result by half. This is a general principle that, while not always perfect, generally works well.
