Does Target Sell Turkey Hill Ice Cream?

As a ice cream lover myself, I’m always thrilled when I find Turkey Hill products being sold at major retail chains. So I was curious – does Target, one of my go-to stores for groceries and everyday essentials, offer Turkey Hill ice cream and frozen treats? I did some digging to find out.

Overall, Turkey Hill is renowned for their rich, creamy, and delicious ice cream tastes. Their products stay creamy straight from the freezer without being rock-hard. The flavors are bold and refreshing. And customers love the nostalgic, small-town vibe of the Turkey Hill brand.

Checking for Turkey Hill at Target Stores

With this background on Turkey Hill, I was eager to find out if such a popular ice cream brand is available at Target. Target is one of my favorite one-stop shops for groceries, clothes, home goods, and more. I regularly browse the frozen foods aisles at my local Target, picking up things like frozen pizzas and ice cream treats.

To investigate, I headed to my neighborhood Super Target in Columbus, Ohio. This Target has a large grocery section, so I figured they would have the best ice cream selection. I went straight to the freezer case and started scanning the doors and shelves for that familiar Turkey Hill logo. Unfortunately on this visit I didn’t see any Turkey Hill products at my Target. Brands like Talenti, Archer Farms Favorite Day, and Good & Gather ice creams filled the shelves instead. There wasn’t a Turkey Hill container or novelty bar in sight.

I asked an associate in the grocery department if Target carries Turkey Hill ice cream. He confirmed that this location doesn’t stock it, though he wasn’t sure if other Targets in the area might. He suggested I could make a request to corporate to have them add it, as they sometimes source new products based on customer demand.

Though I struck out at my Columbus Target I remained curious if Turkey Hill is sold at any Target locations.

Checking Target.com for Turkey Hill Products

After my in-store search came up empty, I turned to the internet to see if I could find any evidence of Target offering Turkey Hill ice cream online. I pulled up the Target website and used the search bar to look for “Turkey Hill.”

The search returned a couple of related categories. Under the “Ice Cream & Novelties” tab, I selected the subcategory for Turkey Hill. And there they were – 31 products listed from Turkey Hill! Flavors like Vanilla Bean, Butter Pecan, and All Natural Mint Chocolate Chip, along with drumsticks and ice cream sandwiches.

However, when I clicked into any of the Turkey Hill product pages, they all said “unavailable” or “out of stock.” This makes me think Target may have carried Turkey Hill in the past, or currently offers it at limited locations. But it doesn’t appear to be regularly in stock online.

I also searched under the main “Turkey Hill” category on Target.com. Again, it showed over 30 products – but unavailable for purchase online.

One notable thing is that many of the Turkey Hill listings on Target.com were for quarts and half gallons of ice cream. I didn’t come across any of these larger containers in the freezer aisles at my Columbus store. This leads me to believe Target probably sells pints of Turkey Hill, if any. The half gallons and quarts are likely only available in select regions or stores.

Contacting Target Customer Service for Answers

Having hit dead ends in my local Target and on Target.com, I decided to go straight to the source. I contacted Target’s customer service department to ask directly – does Target sell Turkey Hill ice cream?

The representative I spoke with was friendly and helpful. She confirmed that yes, some Target stores do sell Turkey Hill products. However, it’s going to be dependent on location and retailer discretion. Each individual store makes decisions about which brands to offer based on local customer preferences and demographics.

For example, my Columbus Target may cater to more health-conscious shoppers, so they stock lower calorie options. Other Targets may carry Turkey Hill because customers in the area love and request that classic brand.

The rep suggested I call or visit my local Targets to ask if they carry Turkey Hill in-store. I can also continue to check Target.com periodically to see if my store gets any in stock online for delivery. And as always, I can speak to store management about requesting they add Turkey Hill ice creams, if it seems many people in my community would enjoy them.

The Verdict: Select Target Locations Sell Turkey Hill

Based on my online research, in-store visits, and Target customer service contacts, I can conclusively say that some Target stores do sell Turkey Hill ice cream – but it’s not available chain-wide.

The availability seems to vary a lot by location. From what I gathered, Target is more likely to offer the novelty treats like drumsticks and ice cream cookie sandwiches, rather than tubs and cartons of plain ice cream. And the selection will depend on local demand.

As a Turkey Hill fan, I’m a little bummed that my neighborhood Target doesn’t carry it. But next time I’m traveling, I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for that familiar logo in Target freezer cases elsewhere. Now I know there’s a chance I can get my Turkey Hill fix during a Target run!
