Weight Watchers Green Plan

I chose the Green Plan for accountability. The information and advice are the same everywhere – WW and Healthi formerly iTrackbites are nearly identical (Healthi formerly iTrackbites just costs WAY less and I’m on a budget) – but I’m following this plan on the Healthi formerly iTrackbites. Read my post about the Green Plan here if you want to complete it for free.

How Many Points Is Chicken Breast On Weight Watchers Green?

Not everyone is getting an assessment. Only new members are getting an assessment. Members can choose which plan they want to be on without taking the assessment by using the app.

Many WW members have complained that they never received an assessment. If you look around the app, you can find the assessment to take. New members will get the assessment automatically.

How are SmartPoints Calculated?

The SmartPoints formula is based on:

How many SmartPoints do I get on the Green Plan?

A minimum of 30 SmartPoints will be awarded to you after accounting for your height, weight, gender, etc.

Do I Get Rollover Points on the Green Plan?

You get 4 Rollover SmartPoints.

Does the Green Program Have FitPoints?

Yes, we adore FitPoints and are grateful they will be included in the plans.

Does the Green Plan Have Weeklies?

That means you can indulge in that protein bar for a snack or a low-point beverage in the evening (or morning, since it’s already five somewhere!) without worrying about deviating from your meal plan.

Pros and Cons of WW Green Plan

The Green Plan gives me the accountability I need, which is something I need. We both have the boundaries and accountability required for success, but my wife switched to the PointsPlus program (on Healthi, formerly iTrackbites) and loves it. Without those restrictions, some people can succeed, and that is fantastic!

    Only 100 Zero Point Foods

Positives: better for those of us who require stricter guidelines than those provided by Freestyle; easier to remember 100 foods

Cons: Since there are fewer zero point foods than there were in the past (200), there are more foods to scan. This may require some getting used to.

The addition of points for chicken, nonfat Greek yogurt, and eggs would be a MASSIVE change for most of us. Depending on how you look at it, this might be a good thing or a bad thing. A smaller list from the Green Plan might work better for you if you tend to overeat some of the Zero Point foods on Freestyle.

Quick Recap of Weight Watcher’s Green Plan

Heres a quick rundown of the Green Plan:

  • SmartPoints start at 30 (vs 23 for Freestyle)
  • 100 Zero Point Foods (vs 200 for Freestyle)
  • 4 Rollover SmartPoints
  • Weeklies
  • FitPoints
  • Foods like chicken and eggs have points under the Green Plan. If you regularly consume these foods, you might want to think about the Purple or Blue Plan. If you frequently consume zero point foods, you’ll love the Green Plan. .

You will receive 6 more points if you choose the Green plan while on Lifetime. Right now you get 5 more points on Freestyle.

My wife and I have both lost a lot of weight thanks to the Instant Pot. Planning our meals in advance has been crucial to our success with Weight Watchers. If you’re intimidated by your electric pressure cooker, this is a way to get over it quickly. We joined Instant Pot for Weight Loss because we were short on time, and it helped us lose weight quickly and significantly. What to Eat on WW Green Plan

Here is a great video that demonstrates what Carrie, a fellow WW vlogger, ate on the Green Plan this past week if you’re curious about what a day on the Green Plan would look like.

You can find 5-Day Sample Meal Plans, including vegetarian and vegan meal plans, in the book you receive at the meeting to assist you in adjusting to the Green Program.

Who is the WW Green Program best for?

For those of you who have struggled with the freedom that Freestyle has provided, the Green Plan will be fantastic. The Green Program may be ideal for you if you haven’t lost much weight on Freestyle or have plateaued after losing just a little bit. It offers more boundaries, less freedom, and more accountability. Try the Green Plan if this is what you were looking for, and let me know what you think.

The Purple Plan (Freestyle) might be a better choice for you if you enjoy “grab n go” foods like Zero Point deviled eggs, meal prep chicken breast, and nonfat Greek yogurt mixed in with everything under the sun to keep it low in points.

How Does the WW App Work With the New Plans?

The plan you choose will be reflected in your app. If your app is blue, youre on Freestyle (Blue Plan). You’re on the Green Plan if your app is green, and so on. Depending on the plan you select, your WW app will still have a sizable food database, restaurant guide, and Connect.

While there is no time limit on switching plans, WW advises waiting at least two weeks between each plan before doing so. We can tell if a strategy is effective or not, so use your best judgment and, if necessary, make a change.

All of the plans are calculated with SmartPoints. The main variations between the plans are how many zero-point foods you obtain and how many foods you track.

I’m eager to try the Green Plan, and I’d also like to know what you all think of it. Please leave a comment below! .
